SILVERMOON GUARDIANS RECRUITING

ATTENTION:
Silvermoon Guardians is currently looking for raiders. If you are not a raider, you are welcome to apply as well, but our primary interest lies in recruiting those interested in 10-man, and more importantly 25-man content.

Hello and welcome to the Silvermoon Guardians (SMG) application page. We thank you for your interest in our guild. Read this entire page carefully, as it will tell you about us, familiarize you with our rules and regulations, as well as give you proper information about the application process. Read everything before proceeding to the next page.

SECTION 1: GUILD INFO
Silvermoon Guardians is a one of the largest guilds on the server, averaging 450 characters and over 250 accounts at any given time. Our goal is to promote end-game play and activities while maintaining a family atmosphere.

We are composed mainly of adults (many with families) and we believe in real life taking precedence over game activities. In SMG, you will find raiders, PvPers and adventurers of all kinds. We play hard, but try to foster a sense of humour in everything we do.

It's important to remember that SMG is an END-GAME GUILD. This means that we concentrate exclusively on end-game activities and create structures and systems to support those. We have no special activities for leveling characters, and there is no support in our framework for those below the top level. Are there lower level characters in our guild? Certainly! But keep in mind that we are NOT a power-leveling guild, and those still questing for experience points will need to seek similar players to reach their goals. For the end-game players, we do organize various raids and dungeon crawls, as well as PvP sessions and occasional guild events.

SECTION 2: REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW MEMBERSHIP
All players wishing to join SMG must meet the below criteria.

1. You must agree to abide by all guild rules. Please read them now.

2. You must be at least 18 years old to join.

3. Your joining character must be at least level 60 or higher.

Players who do not meet age or level requirements may be considered for membership if they are sponsored by a guild member with a rank higher than Initiate.

SECTION 3: WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect a large guild with a variety of people and characters. We like to be silly and funny but we are very serious and quick to act on issues of discrimination and cheating. Here are a few DOs and DON'Ts to follow:

* DO ask questions. We have many players and chances are someone has the exact answer for you. Be sure to use your Class Advisor for advice... that's what they are there for!

* DO take everything with a grain of salt, especially on the Guild channel. Be polite. Many people means many voices and it's important to keep any tension from overshadowing our fun. We'll be watching for that.

* DO use the guild bank. Each tab has rules as to what you can withdraw and how often (keep in mind that your access to the bank starts as very limited and grows as you move past Initiate status). The rules in each tab will also tell you who to ask for withdrawals from the bank. At the same time, make sure to DONATE to the guild bank in return. Deposit something of value or something that someone else can benefit from. Contribute!

* DO inform an Officer if you have any issues or problems with other guild members. Officers can be easily identified by their ranking under the guild tab of your social button (Elder Guardian, Overseer or Master Guardian). Try to contact your class leaders FIRST, if you get no response, contact any officer. If this fails, contact the Guildmaster.

* DO use the guild Web site. It is our centre of operations (ops) and all announcements, changes, raids, activities and events are posted here. Failure to check it regularly will result in your consistently missing our important events.

* DO help others. In this guild, we freely exchange items, materials and even hard to get items. Feel free to ask on the guild channel if anyone can hook you up with an item or two, but be available to give to others who ask as well. Free exchange of items and services, with no expectation of anything in return, is what we are all about. Those who help receive help in return.

* DO NOT beg for money. We are more than happy to assist you, but there are limits. Senior players had to struggle to earn enough money to survive and so should you. There is more than enough advice available from the other members to help you come up with ways to make money. Loans to each other are not prohibited, but the guild is not responsible for any of them.

* DO NOT whine about being bored in guild chat. We are not here to relieve your boredom. WoW has many quests and challenges available to all. Take advantage of the goals available to you and ask for assistance if you need it.

* DO NOT ask senior Guardians to babysit you. By babysitting we mean heal you while you are questing, run you through low level instances, or kill beasts or bosses for you. We love to help, but see no reason to eat up your XP or prevent you from becoming a better player by doing everything for you. If you need assistance look first to fellow Guardians at your level, then those a bit higher than you, then ask on guild chat for assistance. Create groups at your level. SMG is NOT a power leveling guild.

* DO NOT sell anything on guild chat. You can make deals among yourselves as to selling or buying items but advertising items on guild chat can be annoying. If you have an item you don't need, consider giving it to a player that can use it (directly, or donate to the guild bank).

SECTION 4: APPLICATION PROCESS
This section outlines all steps required in the application to SMG. Please follow the below steps:

Step 1 - Click on the link at the bottom of this page (Apply to SMG) complete the application, and take our test. Submit it, when all boxes are complete.

Step 2 - Your application will be evaluated by the officers of SMG. Please be patient.

Step 3 - Make yourself available in game for the next three days. Your class advisor (an officer that presides over the class of your main character) will try to contact you in game to give you a brief interview and let you know if you are accepted. If so, he will set you up in the guild as an Initiate.

Step 4 - If your class advisor has not been able to contact you, feel free to whisper ANY officer in the guild. Your class advisor may have been trying to catch you online to no avail. Now, however, any officer will be able to help you, so whisper any of us! When you do, please make sure that you are available for a chat. We'll interview you and, if you seem to be a good fit with our guild, we’ll set you up as an Initiate.
